2006 All-GM Car Show at the Home Depot - Littleton, CO

By Mike Vogt
August 6 , 2006, Littleton, Colorado - I've been meaning to do a quick write-up of this event, but have been too busy. This was my first year attending this annual event, which used to be held on grass at the Arapahoe Community College grounds until the college raised the price out of reach. This was the second year in the Home Depot parking lot.

The event is hosted by the Rocky Mountain Chevy Club, but is open to all GM makes and models. There were cars representing a wide variety of GM cars and trucks present, but mine was the only Toronado (or Oldsmobile for that matter) in attendance.

Due to rain earlier in the day, the turnout was lower than usual, but approxiamately 45 cars showed. The weather improved greatly as the day progressed, which gave us a wonderful day. My '68 was stationed between a '50's Impala, a 70's Camaro with a late 60's Chevelle behind. All very nice examples. My car garnered plenty of attention and plenty of stories about Uncle Bob and his Toro in the 1970's.
