The Good, Bad, and Ugly at the SOCAL–All GM Show
by Darwin Falk

This is an excerpt of a story featured in Front Wheel Driver Magazine, the official magazine of the Toronado Owners Association. To see more stories, featured cars, product reviews and much more, please join us and our Toronado community TODAY!!

The Good news is that Jay Leno did show up. He didn't stay long as he was mobbed the whole time—poor guy.

The Bad is that he brought his ‘55 Buick and not the Toronado.

The Ugly is that only a single Toronado was at the show this year... but it sure was a beauty–Karen Bladen's 3rd Generation. I'd say attendance was down about 10-20% from last year, overall. Gas is now at $4.45 for regular, $4.70 for premium in most parts of Los Angeles and Orange counties, and I'm sure this is a factor. I figure it cost me $27 in gas just to drive mine to the show... 10 Rivieras were there: two ‘63s, ‘65, ‘67, ‘70, three ‘71s, ‘85 and an ‘89. There were no 1st Generation Eldorados, but a '71 and a couple of 3rd Generations were shown.
