A Message from the President

Welcome to the Members' Area of the Toronado Owners Association website. We are pleased to open this section to our members. It will enable everyone to learn more about our beloved cars from the conception in the late fifties through the last run in 1992, and finally an in-depth look at what was to follow.

The premise of the Members Area is to provide information that covers everything from technical problems and explanations to photo essays of experiences that will aid fellow members with their projects.

There are many ways to solve problems, and each of us has our own techniques. What may work for one individual may not for another, so by all means share what you have learned. It may provide the missing detail required to get over a critical hurdle in another member's restoration. Differing opinions are welcomed, as they promote discussion from which we all can learn.

When providing documentation, it is important to be thorough and accurate, or run the risk of perpetuating more urban legends. Part of our job as an enthusiast organization is to dispel many of the misinformation that is out there. It would not be positive to create more!

We invite all of our members to serve as technical advisers for any and all areas of expertise. We particularly in need of those members with 2nd, 3rd, 4th and Aurora generations, as your efforts will provide the catalyst for other join to in.

We hope you find the Members' Area a venue for contributing photos, technical data and documentation. It will be a work of continuing progress from which we all can learn.

A special thanks to Mike Vogt, TOA #004 for his tireless efforts in putting the Members' Area together.
