Re: 1967 DeLuxe Resto

You did a great job! Looks tasteful and clean, and as I'm in the middle of rebuilding my whole frontend at home by myself, I'm inspired too.

Wanted 1966 chrome wheel trim rings

I realized the other day that my new 1966 is missing the chrome wheel trim rings... I can't seem to find them online.

Is anyone aware of a source for new trim rings that are close to original look/fit, or originals in good condition?

Thanks!

Could we one day see an ELECTRIC Toronado?

This video shows a 68/69 Toronado in the beginning (28 seconds) in the parking lot, and this would be the company to make an electric Toronado, if anyone would... Meet the Zombie 222, an electric 1968 Mustang: 0-60 MPH time of 1.94 seconds... That's not a typo... 1.94 seconds! http://www.engadget.co...

Re: Post your MPG!

I drove a 1966 as my primary car for a number of years, and I think my MPG ranged from about 9 to 13. If I had to guess at an average MPG, I'd say 11.5 sounds about right. Also, I was a teenager, gas was relatively cheap, and I liked going fast. I never drove it like I was trying to maximize my fuel...

Re: New 1966 Toronado owner

Is that Autumn Mist, Autumn Rust or whatever they called it? What's that purple square on the side of it in the first photo? It's Autumn Bronze. The purple square is a reflection of a blue toolbox in the door. I'm still slowly deciding what to fix and restore and how I want the car to end up. Been ...

New 1966 Toronado owner

I grew up in the back seat of a 1966 Toronado. My parents owned a 1966 Toronado Deluxe that was the family car... I learned to drive in it, and I rebuilt the engine in high school auto shop. Recently, I found THIS CAR on ebay: http://barnfinds.com/1966-oldsmobile-toronado-futuristic-front-driver/ .....
