Re: Wiper Motor and Washer Pump for a 66

Quick update I found 3 places that will rebuild the wiper motor. Midwest Remanufacturing was reasonable and seemed like they covered all the bases. Another was on eBay and their photos looked like they do a nice job. USA Parts Supplies gave me 2 answers. I sent a note and later decided to just call....

Wiper Motor and Washer Pump for a 66

Hi all, The other day I found there was smoke coming off the wiper motor as I was testing it while reassembling things (just got the car back from being painted). NOT very comforting. So of course I had to mess with it....the result....I now have a non-operational wiper motor (I broke that resistor ...

Re: 66 Toro Eyebrows -- Black or Chrome?

Yes indeed, the eyebrows are a GREAT look but are pretty tedious to work with. From my experience the chrome I have seen on them has stood up pretty well and actually all that shows of it is that little bead around the black. So you may not really need to have them rechromed. Re: Looking for opinions/experiences with Shocks

I went ahead and ordered a set of hydraulic HD shocks from A-1 Shock Absorber Co. (http://www.shocks2springs.com) along with the rear leaf springs. In talking to Mark at A-1 it sounds like these will be the closest to the original factory shocks. Hopefully they will do a nice job and prevent any add...

Looking for opinions/experiences with Shocks

Hi everyone, I am looking for insights on shocks for a 1966 Toronado. I have a number of friends with classic cars and they are not favorable on gas charged shocks. Their feeling is they are too firm and not in keeping with most large cars of the 60's. Since the 66 Toronado's ride is already FIRM I ...

Re: Is there a mod for a Wonderbar radio for my 66 Toronado?

I used Electro-Tech (http://www.turnswitch.com/radio1.htm) to fully restore my Wonderbar. I also bought the front and rear speakers from them. The are drop in replacements but have modern magnets/cones. The work was VERY reasonable, they were easy to work with, prompt with communications and complet...
