Re: 1967 Toronado Harmonic Balancer Counterweight
Reading this 4 years after the fact as I'm shopping for a replacement harmonic balancer for my '67. What were the results of your install and running experience? Thanks in advance!

Re: Can't believe my cv boot posts has 35 views & not ONE reply!
I guess I'll ask the $10K (actually closer to $200) question: anyone have a preferred source/brand for replacement CV axles? I like going the GMC Motorhome route that was suggested above but wonder if they're any different/better than stuff on eBay, Amazon, RockAuto, etc. Thanks in advance!

Re: EFI - best system?
<SNIP: Thanks to Chris at EFI System Pro...> RussBarnes, please let us know how it works out. While I have a perfectly restored Sparky's Carbs original 7027131 Q-Jet ready to go on my '67 (still with the restorer), I'm intrigued at the idea of going the Holley Sniper Q-Jet Replacement EFI/Distributo...

Re: Eldorado brake calipers
Thanks Mikel - my only experience with them is on the various BMW M cars I’ve owned over the years.

Re: Eldorado brake calipers
Goofy question here for those in the know as I start collecting parts for my front-end rebuild: any thoughts on using drilled/slotted rotors vs. standard one-each smooth ones? Rock Auto has Dynamic Friction drilled and slotted rotors for about $70/each. Seems like a no-brainer to spring a few extra ...

A little silver lining in an otherwise really crappy dark cloud for sure!

Re: Everybody's Toronado Just Got More Valuable
Otto - read your story with a lot of sadness and recollection of a similar incident I had. Back in the late 90s, I was driving my ‘67 to work one day. It was a drizzly, humid, NC coastal day; I had the a/c running and all was good until I also smelled that familiar acrid electrical burning smell. I ...

Re: Leaking Rochester Carburetor
Roland - reach out to Greg “Sparky” Kalkhoff. He’s a Quadrajet restoration expert and did my ‘67’s 7027131 carb. JB Weld works on the well-plugs but it’s by no means permanent. I believe Sparky has his own technique that is truly permanent. Tell him I sent you!

Re: Eldorado brake calipers
Definitely easy enough to swap the Eldo lowers in so I’ll just plan to do that. Appreciate it, Mikel!

Re: ‘67 425 Spark Plugs
Thanks Otto - absolutely agree with no Champions. They seem to burn too cool for our cars. Years ago I tried e3s or one those other fancy multi-electrode plugs with terrible results. The Autolite 85s were rec’d to me by Sparky Kalkhoff back in the mid 90s when I first bought my car and they’ve been ...
