Re: Diming switch for 1988 Toronado Trofeo ?

1. The RockAuto dimming switches are not the right stuff for Toronado/Trofeo. It is a part of the complete light switch and cannot demount. The light switch has to replace if it is death. 2. Problem was not the light/dimming switch. It was the defect photocell ! Pull the photocell and everyth...

Re: 1988 Toronado rear brake

Hello Bernd,

If your brake problem is not fixed yet call me (germany) 08223 5298

Ruf mich an - das Problem ist die Feststellbremsenhebel an den Zangen. Wenn die richtig anliegen hast Du auch den richtigen Druck an der Fußbremse.

Re: 1988 Trofeo gear switch problem and dashboard

Changed the old ECM with a new one from rockauto. Also a defective ignition coil was a reason of harsh gear shifting. The trofeo runs again without any new or old ECM code. Seems I fixed it...

1988 Trofeo gear switch problem and dashboard

My 1988 Trofeo make me sick. No backshift to lower gears with kickdown and no power in reason of lost 1-2 gears when it is warm. All gears are working with manually shifting! Its a pretty survivor with only 35000 miles odo. But it shows the trouble code E027 current and history. No further codes wit...

Re: Wanted '88 Toronado Trofeo trim

Hello Frank,

The fourth generation Toronado seems not very popular in the TOA forum. I ask for some spares also but got never an answer...
You live in US - some salvage dealers can help you, I guess.
I´m from germany - nothing to find here
