Re: lock pillar seals
Steele is not quite correct (these were made for Impala, Bonneville, 98 etc.) However, having found the old ones, I think I can modify the new, and Steele has been very helpful.

rear speakers, '66
I am looking at putting some rear speakers (e.g. 6x9s) in the rear package shelf. However, it is an integrated plastic assembly with a rib that runs across all 3 pieces, ... ?? for style or for structure ?? So I am a bit leery about cutting big holes in it. Anyone have any experience, good, bad or o...

Re: lock pillar seals
A few close-ups would be most appreciated. The Steele piece may be modifiable, or I may go with the old ones if need be.

Re: lock pillar seals
Pictures would be priceless, closeups. Steele is not correct on this seal, but it may be potentially modifiable (and they have been hugely helpful).
Thanks!!

Re: lock pillar seals
The auxiliary pieces are correct, the pillar seals are close, but not quite. I can probably modify them, but I'll find out tomorrow if Steele has the correct ones. They sold me 4478800 and 4478801 which fit many GM large cars. The Toro seals are 4536835 and 4536836. At least now that I've found the ...

Re: lock pillar seals
Joy of joys, I found the old ones and the mysteries are (mostly) melting away. My Dad had a (former) son-in-law helping with his disassembly, so there is some confusion in how things are ordered, but anyhow I found 'em!
This is quite a joint, some 4 weatherstrips getting slammed into a door shut!

Re: lock pillar seals
Otto; How is that jamb seal, the lower one that is notched and slit, attached? I'm working with Steele to be sure the part I received is correct, and exactly where it mounts. I only have one hole lining up, which doesn't seem right. If you can take a couple close-ups that would be great. Thanks for ...

Re: rear tailight gaps?
I found my "filler lenses". My Dad took the car apart, so every box I dive into is a treasure chest that helps solve the puzzle. Unfortunately, he liked to collect spares, so I keep coming up with extra parts, which is a good thing, but has confused me several times. Meanwhile, I get ever ...

Re: aluminum dash faceplates
Impressive, thanks. I have a couple buggered spares that I can practice on, so I'm gonna go for it. Would you mind sending pics?
