Re: Help needed: Fuel gauge pegged at FULL
USA PartSupply overhauled my fuel sender a few years ago. I am very happy with their service. Forgot price.

Re: Toro Slow Start
I've had this identical problem for the entire 9 years that I have owned my 1968 Toronado. Everything was tried, except for one: an auxiliary electric fuel pump. Single-engine airplanes have these to draw fuel from the wings to the engine. Usually they're only used during starting, takeoff and landi...

Hi Jab,
That's a wonderful car, your Eldorado. I'd like to believe that we TOA members don't exclude our Caddy Cousins.
Please have a look at my Toronado brakes website, and keep us posted on your progress. Thank you Chazzer for the plug.

It would be reassuring to see two green LEDs on the instrument panel, indicating that both fans are spinning (o...

Re: Winter upgrades on the list...
If your electric fan indicator LEDs, and bypass switch, all function as intended, then I will most definitely beg you to build one for me!

Re: Winter upgrades on the list...
The cost for my Toronado's dual electric fan installation was more than double your estimate. Aggravating factors included fabricating the custom mounting bracket for a solid professional installation and look, work to the radiator core itself including its removal and reinstallation, living in Miam...

Re: Winter upgrades on the list...
Since installing the electric fans, my engine temperatures have typically been: city driving: 140-160 (depending upon ambient temperature) expressway: gradual rise to 170-190 (depending upon ambient temperature) These temperatures are 40-50 degrees cooler than with the engine-driven clutch fan. I on...

Re: Winter upgrades on the list...
I considered a tachometer at first, but opted for an engine temperature gauge instead.
I didn't think a tachometer would be nearly as helpful with regard to monitoring engine health.
