Toronado Tour proposal

I know we are all seeing local and national events being cancelled after the postponements from last year, but this will not be a permanent situation and has little effect on private events. Unfortunately I believe 2021 is already lost but that gives us plenty of time for planning. I think we should seek input to have a meet up/ tour closed to outside participants to bypass the restrictions open public events will probably struggle with for the foreseeable future. Maybe something along the lines of a meet up at the Route 66 national museum in western Oklahoma and some mileage on 66 for a few nights. Maybe lake of the Ozarks in Branson for a couple nights with a few loops in the surrounding area. A Colorado meet up with some of the best roads and scenery in the world. Here in Arizona, Painted Desert to the Grand Canyon. I think if we keep it open to members only, find an area and connect with local members for help in organizing we can plan a Toro Rendezvous. Ideas?

That sounds pretty cool. I don't know if limiting it to members is the best idea, though. Opening it to everybody may possibly gain new members.

Definitely a good idea. I don't think the event is too bad in regards to COVID; it would be pretty much outside and everyone in their own vehicles. I would vote for Route 66 in OK as far as locations.

I'm new here just browsing the forum and this still sounds like a good idea. Maybe summer '23?
