That blue puff of smoke is probably due to sitting for a year without being run. Let the rings and valve seals get used to doing their job again and it will probably go away.

Last week I got my new Waldron´s exhaust system. It was a pleasure to assemble. More pics in the "parts information" thread.



Two day´s later I got a big problem with the fuel line. Had just made a fullfill with 100 Oktane premium at the gas station. Next day it smells very strong in my garage. The rear hose of the return line was porously and cracked and the garage floor was flooded with expensive fuel. Highly dangerous!
Now I ´ve to replace all old hoses in the fuel line. Pretty hard to thread in the frame

You're correct, they are difficult to replace. I found the rear set to be harder than the front.

Same here. The rear is hard, the front is pretty easy.

At the rear, go from back to front.

At the front, go from front to back.

Work goes on at my Toro - indoor development of a rear duckbill. I dream of it since I got my very first 67 Toronado in 1982. The Toro rear is so identical to the 2.Gen. Camaro and TransAm that it asked for a rear spoiler, I guess. Aftermarket has no choice so I have to do my own.
The TransAm spoiler is surely to short, but the profile did work. I did take the measurements and rendered em with some small modifications to the Toro rear deck. Both fender pieces would be constructed later...









Last picture shows the first resin layers (of 3) on the construction. Filled with expanding foam then. A lot of sanding down and filling was the next step.
I dont want to drill any hole in the reardeck or fenders. The complete spoiler I will glue to the body with PUR elastomer .

Got my long awaited seat covers from SMS Autofabrics / Oregon today morning. Better than x-mas I thought. But bad awake after opened the parcel. Not two-tone as original (I send the original covers to em) but only semi color. Really good work, but how ignorant must they be? I ordered and paid for a set of two color seat covers and got from Doug a validation.

I wrote em a complaint at once, but no answer till now

Strong winter, snowy country. So then, I do my seat cover work in the warm livingroom. Maybe in 6 or 7 weeks we can wake up our Toronado´s from the winter dormancy.

What did SMS say about the covers not being two tone?

They said:
... " So I have pulled the old covers and you are correct about the two colors. Even though it was written down clearly, my guys decided that it was one color and did it accordingly. So my question for you is: Do we need to do them again in the 2 colors? If so, we will need the old covers back."

But I do not want to wait again 10 month for a new set and also do not want to pay again 625 € for shipping or whatever
So it is as it is...

Mission complete! I´ve done my MODs and I am lucky with this. A little more personality to a personal supercar. Nothing what I´ve done is really wrong to the Toronado. All my old school custom works were popular in the late 60th/ early 70th and can be made back, no part of the rear end was drilled. Hope you like it too...
