I just got some great news from an old friend that went back home to where we grew up. He stopped in at my old house which my Aunt bought from us almost 20 years ago now and he looked in the garden shed in which I stored all my old Toronado parts. He found 4 68-69 front turn light assemblies! I just so happen to have a broken right lens on my 69 so he is going to package them up and have them sent out to me. I am pretty sure there will be at least one good right side unit in there.

It will be really nice to have some parts from my old cars on my new one!

He also told me he found part of the old center console from my first W-34 1968. While I desperately wish I had that car in the condition of my current car - imagine, if you will, having a 1968 W-34 with bucket seats and center console in good condition - I may be able to do something with the part one way or another. My plan for the 69 I have is to put new seats into it and set up a console shifter, but I doubt it will make sense to use it. Who knows? If nothing else it will be nice to have it in the garage!

Yes some do!

Well, luck is often sown by your past actions. Having been infected with the bug when I was 18 it lead to owning and processing several Toronados in the mid-'80s. Hmmm... let's see... at least 2 '68s, one '69, a '67, a '70, and a '73 if I recall correctly. The sad part is that my first Toro was a '68 W-34 with bucket seats and console shifter. Too bad it was such a rustbucket... had it been it good shape that would have been a real example of luck!

All that was left of these cars were the 4 lenses that are being shipped out to me.

Overall, it's probably fair to say these cars are at least as old as us and functioning somewhat better
