Went to look at a private collection of toro parts and cars yesterday.
none turned out to be what I need exactly, but there is a '68 w34 in the group. one of 111 made and less than 20 known to exist.
Great opportunity for the right person, not for me.
PM me for more info if interested.

Hey Bluecab,

I grew up in Hopkinton and my first Toronado, purchased for $100 in 1983, was a 1968 W-34 with bucket seats and a console shifter. Very rare indeed, but unfortunately was a classic New England Rust Bucket. :o

I wish I had been able to restore and keep it, but at the time while I knew it was somewhat rare, I had no idea...

A guy in New Hampshire (he was in New Market at the time, had his home and body shop on the same property), parted out a blue 1968 W-34, bucket seat/console set-up. I wondered if it was the saame Toronado that was sold new at Caplin Motors, Falmouth, Maine, Christmas time 1967.
That blue W-34 was junked, and Rollie used that 455 in a white 1955 Super 88.
