just bought my 68

just graduated high school and basic training. freshman in college and wanted a father son project with my dad who has been a mechanic for most of my life. we will be wanting any helpful info. we are looking at a rear brake conversion. i was told a 1976 eldarado rear axle would swap well but it has coil springs instead of leafs...advice and learning is what i am seeking
