Try Mr. G's:
http://www.mrgusa.com/fasindex.htm
Facca Fasteners probably has them. Call them, though since their website sucks and 99% of what they sell is not listed on it:
http://www.faccafasteners.com/index.html
Rock Auto has every size except the one you need.
Faster Connection probably has it as well.

Dorman lists 1"x14 in two heights. Are you sure it's 1x20?

Re: 1"20 castle nut that goes on drive axel
Yep it is a 1-20. I first off checked the tpi with a gauge I have and then the only 1-20 that I found was a real short nut that would not really do the job but for 10 bucks bought it as a test. Fits perfect. That didn't really help me with my problem so I will check the suppliers that are mentioned above and cross my fingers. I never thought of the problem finding one to begin with but though for sure someone would have something from a parts car.
Thanks for the info

Well no good on those companies. Nothing even close. Looks like I can only hope to find a parts car or have one made...... ouch!

Here are a couple suggestions.
Applied GMC. Call them and ask for Jim. He runs the place and is normally very willing to help out. http://www.appliedgmc.com
A friend of mine owns a muffler shop and also does brakes, wheel bearings, etc. He has a couple 5 gallon buckets of random parts , nuts, bolts, etc. that are left over from all kinds of installations. He has often found oddball parts for me (or allowed me to dig through them) for my 79 F100. Perhaps a shop near you might have a pile of old nuts and bolts they save for odd occasions and might look for you or let you look?
Do you have any Pull-a-Part type junkyards near you?
Call John Dorcey in Las Vegas. He has 50 1966-1970 Toronado parts cars.
