If this is still an issue there are some options...
1) if you have a picture hosting service (Flickr, Kodak, etc.) you can upload them there then post a link using the Img tags above. Here is an example of how you would do it:

This would show the picture in the body of the post:

2) You can download any number of free programs to do it, such as Picasa (a free image organizing and editing program from Google -
http://picasa.google.com/), if you have Windows XP you can download the PowerToy, which allows resizing with a right-click on the image in Windows Explorer (Look for the download link for Image Resizer on the right side of hte screen -
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Down ... rtoys.mspx). You may be able to do it in Paint (Windows, built-in) or Preview (Mac, built-in).
