Transmission dipstick
Do the '66 & '67 Toros have different transmission dipsticks? If so- why is that? I have a '66 & the dipstick is straight & flat. The finger puller snapped off so i got one for a '67 thinking their engines/ trans were indetical. The dipstick i rcv'd was about an inch longer, it was wider & it had twists in it also.

From the bottom of the washer to the tip, are they the same length? Is the full mark in the same position relative to the bottom of the stop washer?

Re: Transmission dipstick
Can someone with a 66 and correct dipstick measure theirs? The dipstick on mine is very fussy and doesn't seem to go down all the way.

Back with another head scratcher. I found another trans dipstick, exact same as last one, the problem is, while checking the fluid level - car on flat surface, engine warm & running in neutral- one side of the dipstick it shows the trans fluid quart low, i look at the other side
of the dipstick, its showing way too much fluid, aprox 2" above the full mark!! What gives??
