Putting on the trim...

Postby Twilight Fenrir » Mon May 02, 2011 1:52 pm

Yup, me again :P

I'm putting the trim back on my '66. I wasn't the one who took it off, so I'm going off what makes sense to me. It seams pretty self explainitory for the most part, however, I do have 2 questions...

What did the fastener that went at the ends of the bottom-of-door trim look like? Is that it on Fusick? Part #12134 Door Panel Trim Tab?

And, what are these? I've got about a dozen of the thing on the right, and just two of the thing on the left... The one on the left looks like a stop to hold glass in place somewhere... No idea on the right one.

Actually, the one on the left (lower) because it is has a rubberized tip, looks to be like a wind lace retainer for the door window top rubber seal? The top right clip looks to be a molding/trim retainer due to the tines on the clip. I've seen both of these when parting out a Toro, but it's so rare that one goes this deep to recall exactly where they belong or what they do unless reinstalled. ):

Well, I don't think the rubber-coated one is what you think it is... Everything in that region is fully assembled...

Could the other one be for holding down the cowl lacing strip? My toro doesn't have one atm, I'm ordering one from Fusick. The cowl was removed before I bought it to access the damaged dash metal, which I have since repaired.
