1988 Toronado rear brake

Postby Bernd » Tue Sep 02, 2014 6:53 am

Hello from Germany!

I´m driving a 1988 Toronado. Everything is fine with the car except the rear brake. I installed new brake pads because I only had 100 kg breaking force. And now it´s still the same. Anybody has an idea where the problem comes from?

Thanks a lot & best regards
Bernd

Failed master cylinder? Plugged rear brake hoses? Rear calipers not properly adjusted? (some rear calipers are adjusted by using the parking brake--I don't know if yours are or not.) Pinched brake tubing? Corroded valves in the anti-lock or proportioning valve?

Hello Bernd,

If your brake problem is not fixed yet call me (germany) 08223 5298

Ruf mich an - das Problem ist die Feststellbremsenhebel an den Zangen. Wenn die richtig anliegen hast Du auch den richtigen Druck an der Fußbremse.

Thanks to Google translate.
Call me - the problem is the parking brake lever on the calipers. When applied correctly you also have the right pressure on the foot brake.
