I inherited a 1950 Ford F1 custom form an old friend . It`s been modified with a 1970 Nova front clip and a 350/350 power train.
I`ve got nothing against Chevy motors i`m just sick of them in hot rods.
Seeing as a cannot use a ford motor due to the Chev clip I'm stuck with GM.
A couple of years ago I nabbed a 455 out of a 68 Toro from a wrecking yard in Monterey CA that turns over like butter, I was going to use this in my 442 but I`ve since found a 67 442 block so this weekend I pulled it out and removed the pan to find out it`s beautiful inside, very visible hone marks on shinny cylinder walls and a Nodular crank

I`ll be doing a comp test this week and if that turns out ok I`ll move forward .
I`ll be using an Edlebrock intake and will be replacing all the consumables inc timing chain.
My questions are , what`s a W34 cam like and where can I get correct 68 Toro engine paint from and will latter model Olds 350 brackets work? Dunno what year but the motor is gold.
Thanks,
Jab.
