Whoa, thats good news to me! Better than digging up 70's toro and re-scraping it. Could you post an item #, and issue of the catalogue so I can e-mail them about it? A scan of the page would be awesome too. This is something I wanted to do to my 66.[/quote]

I will post more info when I get back home this weeked...

For those that have asked:

The catalog is free from Kanter. I have to affiliation with them, I have ordered parts in the past though.

You can request a copy at: http://www.kanter.com/catalogrequestQAS.aspx

The issue sent to me is the fall 2010 issue. The new brake conversion kits are listed on page one.
kits include:
2 - 12" rotors
2 - single piston calipers
1 - set of pads
2 - caliper mounting brackets
2 - brake hoses
wheel bearing, seals, hardware
Master cylinder
power booster
proportioning valve

I am hoping someone will post experience with this kit in the future.

Hmm... well, that doesn't sound complete to me... it's missing the control-arm parts... unless the "Caliper mounting bracket" somehow adapts to the existing ones...

Thanks for the info, I'll let you know if I order it.. . will probably be a couple months though before I do....

Well, I just got my kanter catalogue... And i'm shocked! They say that with thier kit you can still use the factory drum wheels! I'll call and confirm this a bit later... But that makes this an optimum solution. Son't have to dig arround for wheels even, and live with the uglier (imo) disk-wheels.

They made the kit through this winter, and discontinued them... They discontinued them a month after I had the money to afford one :P Oh well, I pieced together a set myself, so I'm all set to go. But, that's where the kanter kit stands for the time being.

thanks for the heads up on the kanter drum to disc kit - i think this winter i will do one of my 66s drum to disc. Brake Tech Solutions will do a 66 toronado for about $1000.00 they claim they have done these cars before.
