drilling holes in old cars

Often in my life I've regretted drilling holes in things some years after the fact.

I wouldn't dream of drilling into my Olds for something like a CB antenna.

BUT

I'm fairly certain I've found evidence of a Bondoed hole that used to be for a CB antenna. I still use CBs regularly and am going to install one in the Toronado. Would drilling through that Bondo to replace a CB antenna that used to be there be stupid? If anything else I bondo back over it, right? The paint is damaged and not a concern at the moment.

I will try to get good pics of the area.

Bondo is bondo. Even metal can be fixed if you have holes in it.
