exhaust tips

I managed to score a pair of stock exhaust tips in decent shape at my local picknpull from a 91 Toronado. I would like to know what the original color was on the 88 Trofeo. There is some spots of what looks like flat black on these, but have not been able to see a pic or find the info for the Trofeo.
