I inspected my '66 Toronado's brakes today. They've been screeching/squeaking when applied at low speeds and at moderate speeds. I figured I might have glazed or cracked shoes.
Well, the shoes were not glazed and had lots of meat on them. The drums weren't rusty, scored, out of round, or anything. Wheel cylinders and all hardware are relatively new.
I cleaned everything and put it all back together but I still have the squeaking when applied. What do you think is causing this?
