shorter water pump?

Postby gearhead840 » Thu Apr 15, 2010 3:42 pm

i was hoping someone could clue me in on long shaft water pump vs. short shaft and pullies. I think the short shaft pump and correct pulley, along with the radiator core support from a 69 toro welded in will solve my 4 core radiator blues. I would really appreciate your help.
I know i will still have to modify the radiator cap for the larger drivers side tank, but one challenge at a time.

well the larger 4 core radiator is in, We had to weld in a radiator support from a 69 toro, and massage the top cover to fit the larger tank. a little weld, a little sheet metal and the tiniest amount of bondo made it look like it belonged there all along. I have a solid 3/4 inch clearance between the fan and the rad. a shorter fan clutch would be heaven but I will take what i can get. Now onto the disc brake conversion
