remote mirror escutcheon, or bezel

Postby Hwy78Cruiser » Fri Aug 27, 2021 8:19 pm

Does anyone know, or preferably have a picture of how a remote mirror cable terminal connects to the bezel? Attaching the bezel to the door is easy, but what securely connects the cabling to the escutcheon to gain the remote action?

My Toro is a '66, but my (late) Dad added sculpted mirrors, both sides, which might be from the 70s, maybe even 80s.

Thanks in advance!

There is a small grey plastic circlip or snap ring which connect the cable also in right direction to the escutcheon.

Thank you Roland, I saw such a circlip in a picture on eBay.

Anyone know of a source for circplips?, else I guess I'll have to fashion something.

I have had very good luck finding oddball fasteners at Ace Hardware. Failing that, try these sources:

Fort Worth, Texas 76117-6013

Many thanks Otto and Roland, I figured out a nice workaround, will use set screws :-]
