interior trim pics please

Postby Hwy78Cruiser » Sat May 13, 2023 9:50 am

I've got a '66. I am working to fit up the interior trim pieces to what I think go around the rear window, doors and/or maybe the windshield? Some pieces seem to fit, others not so much. Can't find any figures in all my manuals, including the Product Description Manual and the Fisher Body Service Manual.

If someone could please post up pictures of the rear and front window trim in their car it would be much appreciated. Also, a count of the number of moldings would be helpful, L or R or L+R.

I used to describe the '66 Toro I "inherited" from my Dad, largely in boxes as a "80,000 piece puzzle". Now I realize it is actually more like a Rubic's cube - 3 dimensional, and if you do it in the wrong order you get to back up and start again. Hoping to be driving this beauty some time soon so I can sing praises to my dear old Dad, rather than the words that erupt too often working on this project in my garage (lol).

I'm having the most difficulty with the door moldings forward, how they join, how they attach, pictures where they join would be most helpful.

See no door moldings in your pic. All interior side roof moldings, rear window moldings and A-pillar. You need em for new headliner.

From left to right: 1 and 2 put together = Rear window top, 3 and 4 rear window left and right side, 5 and 6 put together = window lower, 7 = LH roof side line, 8 = RH roof side line, 9 and 10 A-pillar RH and LH

Missing: both upper windshield moldings (longer as rear ones)

VERY HELPFUL Roland, thank you. A couple missing pieces is par for the course (confusion), I will look for them, so far I've always been able to find them among the boxes :-]

Thanks again!!!

Also for Roland - those upper windshield moldings - they are painted, or chrome?

They are painted in same color as the other headliner moldings. Chromed moldings are for exterior.

Thanks to an assist from roland, and a trip to my local stash of Toros, I now have a complete set. TOA and its members are an amazing resource. (A picture should be attached, but I have had occasional troubles with pics.)
