1966 trunk lock rod

Please help me. The trunk lock rod of my 1966 project do`nt work as it should.
The last owner or his mechanic has soldered or welded at this small part and they tried to fit the lock in an absolute wrong manner.
So i have the problem now.
My `66 has the trunk lock vacuum option too. With this option there is no way to put the rod through both holes. It is broken now!
Who can send me a picture and measurements of the correct rod please. I want to remake one.
