Questions on options, and adding them where they weren't...

Postby Twilight Fenrir » Sun May 01, 2011 6:46 pm

I was poking through the options list, and I noticed a few things I don't have on y '66, that I would really like to. So, I'd like to find out what might be required to add them, and how common the parts entailed might be.

A85 I see that shoulder-harness seatbelts are listed... I've just got the lap-belt on mine, and I suspect it will be rather disquieting for me to drive it like that... Is this something that is easily found, and added? Or would I need to start drilling holes and such where there are none currently?

Curious exactly what the G66 Superlift Rear entails... Never heard of that one.

N98 Chrome Wheels - I didn't realize these were a factory option... I thought people were just getting their steel wheels chromed... Are these common? How much does a set typically go for?

Y72 Extra Heavy duty cooling... How do I find out if I have this?

Did the Wonderbar radio have the button on the floor for seeking like the older cars with it? Also.... how do you set the "favorites" buttons on these old radios?

And, lastly, how difficult is it to add in the factory cruise control, and Flarestat. How common are these parts?
Thanks.

G66 Super Lift Rear - basically air-adjustable shocks. I think GABRIEL still makes these. The filler tube is at the rear license plate (next to the fuel vent tubes - if your car has A/C)

N98 Chrome Wheels - easy to do. take yours off, have them media blasted and letr the chrome shop do their thing.

Y72 Extra Heavy Duty Cooling - this is basically a 4-row radiator (vs. the standard 3-row)

Wonderbar radio- This radio has a slide bar in the center of the face that maes it a "seeking" radio

Unfortunately, can't find a chromer around here... doesn't seem to be one in Northern Minnesota...
