Well, I haven't gotten around to that just yet... I should be putting on new Edelbrock shocks on my '66 before the end of the month. So if you don't get an answer before then, I'll check when I pull it out.

What is the issue?
The bolt goes all the way through the frame with nut on the other side, its not something you'll get off the shelf.

hi,

the issue is that i'm from germany...we have the metric system, so its nearly impossible to go to the next car-shop and get the right bolts. i need to order them at a special mailorder here in germany...for those guys i need the size and thread pitch. my car came without the bolts.

@ twilight: that would be sooo cool ;)

R i g h t . . . . They are grade 5, 1/2 inch (.500 mm) diameter, 7-7/8 inches (175.0 mm) over all length, thread length 1-1/2 inches (40.0 mm) with 13 threads per inch -- bolt head size 3/4 inch (19 mm)

forsee link / chart for 1/2 - 13

http://www.portlandbolt.com/technicalin ... pitch.html

Nut grade C /8 prevailing torque lock USS course thread nut with one flat washer at nut end. This should help to get a cost to make them.

as it is I have a set that i may be able to provide, depending on what you find in the way of cost to have them made.

Good luck

Hey Eight, are those composite leaf springs? I'm trying to get a guy here to make a run of some correct steel tapered mono-leafs but we haven't come to terms yet! How do you like those you have?

Kanter sells leaf springs for 1st Gen's.... I'm not sure if they're mono, but they are steel tapered.

Yeah, I bought the same set from Eaton--they are multi-leaf. I'm kinda picky about that sort of thing and want to get some repro springs one of these days when I can convince someone to do a run.
