92 trofeo idling rough and electrical problems

Hello fellow toronado owners! I am brand new to the site, I am 16 living in Davenport, Ia and I just inherited a 1992 oldsmobile toronado trofeo that needs a little bit of work (to say the least) right now I do believe electrical is one of them. It is idling quite rough.. and it is deffinitely getting too much fuel somewhere (it smells, bad!) It almost died today, my dad says the electrical is probably making one of the computers put too much fuel somewhere. Another problem I have is the interior lights WILL NOT come on. The first time I ran this thing at night the twilight sentinel worked fine and all the interior and exterior lights came on. did a diagnostics test and the twilight photo cell is working fine..I checked all the fuses. any ideas? I also invested in a shop service manual which just seemed confusing... Any prior experience would be great. Thanks !!
