Drivers side cv axle

Postby Slick66 » Sat Jun 01, 2024 4:49 pm

Hi I'm brand new on here. Just bought my 66 about 3 months ago. The drivers side cv axle is leaking green grease at highway speeds between the brass colored collar that encompasses the knuckle and the steel round plate closest to the diff. The new cv axle I bought from parts geek does not look like this. It does however look just like my current passenger side axle. May someone please educate me about what is going on here?

Interesting,

That looks like the axle that Cadillac used on the '67 Eldorado.
