I never check it. It's not really necessary on "modern" vehicles.

how often do you check the valve clearance...
Is the clearance for the in .. and exhaust the same ? 0,001 -0,003"
I am quite certain this car used hydraulic valve lifters, which do not require
adjustment. Bruce Roe

Hi Jelonek.
Have you not purchased a 1966 Oldsmobile Chassis Service Manual , yet?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-OLDSMOBIL ... XQDfdRo7zG
Page 6B-47 lists all the torque Specs for the engine.
Cylinder Head to Block 80 foot pounds
Intake Manifold to Cylinder Head Bolts 35 foot pounds
All the above bolts must be dipped in oil prior to installation for correct torque readings

Re: Hello from Germany!
What happened, Jelonek? Why are you doing this work? Did you blow a head gasket?
Re: Hello from Germany!
no... nothing bad but I had a problem withe the intake-gasket at the front , lekage, leaking,
last summer a got a new gasket and the work ist not so complicated, even ignition don´t musst be disassembled,
the Intake is a very heavy, so I built a pulley to put it with feeling ...
so today i want to refill the coolingsystem and drive again
