'66 Carb Throttle Lever

Postby hullinger » Fri Nov 30, 2012 12:54 pm

The carb on my '66 Toronado is the correct 7026250 carb but with the incorrect throttle lever. This throttle lever doesn't have a provision for the kick-down linkage. I've been working with a carb shop in finding the correct lever but I'm having little luck. Would anyone have a good clear close-up pic of the correct lever so that I can share that with the carb guys? Anyone have the correct lever they would like to sell or share with this poor ole sap? I attached a pic of what is on the carb now.

Chris

As a reference, this appears to be the correct throttle lever for the '66 Toro model 7026250.

I have a '66 parts carb that may have the part you need, problem is I'm in Fl for the next few months and the carb is at my home in MA. If you still need the part in May I will be happy to get it to you

Try Sparky's carburetor service, he might have what you need. :)

Found one! There was a guy on another forum that has a carburetor core for a 442. His carb had the Toro lever while mine had the 442 lever. So it worked out for both of use.

That is so great when things work out like that. I had some 1965 Buick cast aluminum finned valve covers and needed 66 and another ROA member had 66 and needed 65 we traded too.
